The main female protagonist, ‘One’ is the quiet underdog in the school. She never speaks up or defends herself. Which causes a lot of problems for her and the people around her. One is best friends with Sa Yeong who is the schools best athlete. This makes Sa Yeong popular and loved by everyone. Due to her popularity, other students don’t understand why she is friends with the weak loser, One.

Review:

Story: The class president ends up pairing One with Meng Geum in a school project. However, One is too terrified of speaking to him. As she was leaving class she spots him and summons up the courage to speak with him. Unfortunately, she ends up catching him in a fight. As she was watching, she trips and falls over him *manga physics and logic. After that, she spends the rest of the class time afraid of him. Then Sa Yeong springs into action and arranges the whole thing for her.

Some people might thing that this plot is predictable. True. But…I’ve never read a manga where this is extended over several chapters. Which made this very interesting! We’ve all seen the tough guy and weak girl dynamic before. However, in this one, Meng Geum doesn’t dramatically change over night. He stays this way for over 12 long chapters. This storyline is fleshed out beautifully. He stays loyal to his personality and really doesn’t hold back at all when he is yelling and fighting with others.

I really like this manga because I see it giving the characters enough time to grow properly. I predict that as the chapters go on, when Meng Geum finally falls in love with One. He won’t wear those stupid glasses anymore. I really hate them!

Now, I will leave you with a few snippets of this love story.
