|Yuri| |Student President|
Story: This volume focuses on One’s issue with her unpopularity and friendship with Sa Yeong. Just like in the previous volume, Sa Yeong is extremely popular and everyone is constantly trying to be her friend. Every time the other students try to befriend Sa Yeong, she ignores them and focuses only on One. This causes a lot of jealousy and speculation regarding the nature of their relationship. Resorting to the students calling One a leech who feeds off of the strong to survive.
Also picking of from the previous volume is One and Meng Geum’s relationship. After a certain incident between them, he is still blackmailing her into cooking for him all his meals. One’s main hobby, cooking, is something she excels at greatly. So Meng Geum is taking full advantage of that. However, Sa Yeong is really pissed over this because she hates it when anyone takes advantage of One. This leads to Meng Geum telling her to stop interfering with other peoples business when she is unwanted.
Long story short, Yuri, a bully who is hell bent on making One’s life miserable tells everyone that One did something horrible to make sure that Sa Yeong stays her friend. This makes the bullying worse. When Sa Yeong returns from her fencing competition, she finds out about all these problems and tries to help One. However, when she finds one unwilling to speak, she remembers Meng Geum’s words about being unwanted and ends up fighting with One.
In this volume, One finally learns how to fight for herself and starts defending herself against all the bullies. Namely, Yuri. I found this to be really good because it took some time for this to happen. So it felt more realistic! One had enough time to grow and learn from her past mistakes throughout 10 chapters. This made it feel unrushed, unlike in most cases with manga. So far, this series is really interesting and has more than a love story to offer!
Let me also point out, this volume has their first kiss!
