Meng Geum Ho who is actually the popular author Eun Ho, transfers to a new school. Unwilling to socialize with any of his classmates he soon gets himself a bad reputation. When the unpopular girl called “One” enters his life, Meng Geum Ho has a request for her.
Story: Following last volumes shocking reveal about the student president being a different person than she actually is. [Fake: Student President, Jangmi, good and smart. Real: Black Rose, tough street thug.] One finds her small group of friends slowly but happily expanding!
|Jangmi| |Black Rose|
This volume focuses on Meng Geum and One’s relationship. One finally finds out about Meng Geum true identity.
She is also currently being forced to feed Meng Geum through they’re contract or else he will sue her. She doesn’t mind cooking but the fact that he is rude, picky and has never thanked her once makes her really upset. This results in a huge argument between them and One decides that she will no longer befriend him. Meng Geum thinks she is over reacting and doesn’t understand the need to thank anyone. So, One ends up calling him a bad kitten she will never feed.
This volume also introduces a new character. Joong Han is a young boy who is abandoned by his parents and is sent to live with his grandmother. One feels a strong connection to him as she sees herself in him. It is revealed that she also has a tragic history and is currently living with her aunt and not her parents. This makes her feel strongly for him. One day she catches Joong Han stealing so she decides to take him under her care and makes him promise not to resort to stealing ever again.
It’s nice to see One growing into herself. There’s a very obvious change in her personality when compared to the first volume. She is finally standing up for herself and doing what she feels is right. It’s also about time that Meng Geum grows. I can see this plot of them arguing affecting him in ways he never expected! I’m soo looking forward to the next volume!
