- Book: Kareshi Toshishitakei
- Volume: 1
- Chapter: #0 to #5.5
- Genre: Shōjo
- Author: Rina Yagami
Her childhood friend, Sou, returns from America for the first time in 5 years. Ai is really happy to see that he has become very angelic looking in the time that they’ve been apart. However, one day he says, “I will definitely make Ai mine”, and forcibly kisses her! To get treated like that by someone three years younger than her and who she’s always treated as a younger brother takes Ai by surprise. It would definitely make Ai’s heart skip a beat, wouldn’t it?!
This volume also features two other stories:
- Ch 4: Gyakuten Valentine, about a tomboy girl who is confessed to by a younger, hotter male. She gets bullied over it because people don’t think she is pretty enough or deserves it.
- Ch 5: Kimi ga Hajimete (You’re My First), about a nerdy girl in glasses who is hit on by the popular hot boy.
Story: I loved it! I usually find plots like this very interesting. Which is weird because I’m so not interested in anyone who is younger than me, even if only by a day. So reading a plot line like this one is intriguing. The entire volume is focused on younger boys confessing to older women. The first story, Boyfriend Younger Than Me, is three chapters long and was my favorite of the three.
It was hilarious and very light hearted. The ending was slightly more unrealistic for me because no way anyone would do what she did. Don’t worry I won’t mention what happens.
The second one was fun! It was soo sweet and cute. I honestly would not mind a boy like that.
The final story did not sit well with me. It was soo annoying. I hate it when ‘people’ do things like that. Ugh, you have to read it inorder to get. I wouldn’t mind recommending a skip for that last one.
As usual: SNAPSHOTS!
