Hey Everyone! There’s this ongoing ‘Top Ten Tuesday‘ trend in the book community. This week, April 10: Books I Loved but Will Never Re-Read
This was pretty easy. As I generally don’t reread books. Like ever. No matter how crazy and awesome it made me feel, it was perfect for that time, age and place. And to preserve it’s awesomeness, I don’t mess with it’s golden memory. So this list was breeezy!
I’m soo excited to see what you and everyone else has in their list. So without further ado, heres mine.
Top Ten Books I Loved But Will Never Re-Read:
- Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
- The Cursed Child by JK Rowling
- How to Hang a Witch by Adriana Mather
- Rebel Heiress by Fiona Mountain
- Amy Snow by Tracy Rees
- Alex & Eliza by Melissa De La Cruz
- Dear Delilah by T. Bester
- My Lady Jane by Brodi Ashton

So out of your list I’ve only read E&P – which I loved while reading but cringe looking back at all the stereotype criticism, so won’t ever re-read – and Cursed Child – which I own, so I may revisit at some point.
I don’t re-read often, but there are a few books that I really love to revisit!

Agreed! Half the time I was reading E&P I was thinking that this is not ok..but I had to keep reminding myself that it was written at a different time…what other books would you reread?

I’ve honestly never heard of any of these books, but it’s a good list of books for me to try! I’ve been wanting to try Eleanor and Park for awhile and this is further convincing me I need to get around to it. Thanks for sharing!

I am not generally a re-reader either, but it has happened and I am one of those who leans more toward “never say never.” Several on your list are on my to read pile or wish list. I loved Eleanor and Park too. I hope you have a great week!

Great list! I agree on the ones that I have read! Although, I don’t really re-read much, since my TBR list is insanely huge!

I used to re read…pre Goodreads. Now I have too many on my TBR for time to re read. I often think that I should for some books like Making Faces or Harry Potter…

I know what you mean. I want to reread ACOTAR and TMI, TID ..etc. But there’s just too much in my TBR. Maybe one day.

I really enjoyed Eleanor & Park too, but I’m not so sure that I’ll reread it. I don’t think it would be as enjoyable the second time around. Great list!

Agreed. It had a lesson to teach and it was over.

I did end up re-reading The Cursed Child, only because I wanted to refresh my memory before seeing the play, but I don’t think I’ll be re-reading it again! And I agree with Eleanor and Park as well. I haven’t read Alex and Eliza yet, although it is on my TBR! Great list, here’s mine: https://bookmuffin.wordpress.com/2018/04/10/books-i-enjoyed-but-wont-be-reading-again/
