Spoiler Free Review:

This sounded so promising. From the title to the synopsis. Unfortunately, the build up was in vain.

I see a lot of people on Goodreads complaining about it being too short and too fast. Yes that was an issue but it is a short story so it was understandable. My main problem with this book is that we were promised a strong and mighty Zavir. But what we got was a timid man who kept falling asleep. Regardless of whether or not he was faking it.

I was promised a man who was going to cause trouble. Yet, he barely said anything. His lines could probably fit in one page with plenty of space to spare. The whole idea of a ‘mail-order’ bride, world and the were-dragons was soo exciting. Yet we barely spent any time going into that.

Jenny Foster, the author, did succeed in making me curious. However, the lack of details regarding this book and where it stands in her imaginary universe makes it hard for me to follow up with her work.

In any case, this was something new and slightly unfulfilling in a way. Maybe don’t read it if you don’t want to be left pondering over what on earth is happening.

Until Next Time!
