Synopsis:

The awkward, romantic comedy manga about geeks in love that inspired the new anime! Can a professional man who’s secretly a hardcore gamer and a woman who’s secretly a fujoshi date without their hobbies getting in the way, or revealing each other’s secrets?

Extra-long book includes 2 Japanese volumes!

Narumi and Hirotaka are, by all appearances, a power couple. They’re young, good-looking professionals. But they have secrets from everyone but each other: They’re serious geeks! Narumi is a fujoshi, and Hirotaka’s a hardcore gamer. Their sweet, awkward love story started life as a webcomic before becoming a full-blown manga series by popular demand, and is about to become a major anime series!work.

Short Review:

Ok, I know that I didn’t exactly like this a lot in my last review, Wotakoi Volume 1.  But there was something about this manga that had me coming back. Love is Hard for Otaku, is so endearing and charming, However, before I get into that, I will say that I still didn’t get half of what was happening in terms of the gaming references and such.

Anyway, in this volume, we finally go on a proper date! Which was perfect and adorable! I was soo excited and intrigued over what was happening. Even though, nothing mind blowing was actually taking place. I believe that this is because the characters are just so real and relatable. It almost feels like they are people that we know in real life. So, you can’t help but feel invested in their love life and future.

The overall flow of the story was sweet and bubbly. I was so upset over the fact that there weren’t any other volumes that I ended up watching the anime. Which is being aired now. And it was perfect!!

So yea. Read it.
