He gave her one helluva ride…

Felicity Forrest has the perfect job as an investigative blogger for Everyday Supernatural. This curvy girl gets sent to the Aran Islands to find out whether a púca shape shifter is responsible for the strange accidents haunting a construction site.

Niall O’Leary is tall, broody, and totally alpha. His mission is to discover why the veil between the human world and the Realm has lifted. And as the Chieftain’s son he must find a mate or his twin will be promised to a stallion he despises. He has a duty to his family, his clan, and a need for offspring. Otherwise the púca could become nothing more than folklore.

Review:

I don’t know what I just read. I really have no idea what just happened….

I’m confused..

I don’t understand anything…

Ok..ay.. I think..I went into the weird part of books. Honestly, I didn’t even know this specific trope existed. This was new. It took some time for me to understand what was happening…

If I got it right. A púca shape shifter – which is totally a new concept for me – is a person that turns into a horse…or a goat.. and they live in an alternate realm. This case, the realm is located in Ireland. And from what I gathered from the description, a puca is a man and a horse, all at the same time. Like in physical appearance, you would be a man, but to other puca’s, your spirit would be visible as a horse at all times. So it’s like having a double vision, like seeing two people at the same time, instead of one.

Yea.

To clarify, I’m not making fun of anyone who enjoys this. I’m simply relaying my experience as a first time reader of this previously unknown trope.

So the writing and overall flow of the book was fine. Although, at times it was hard to understand what was happening. Since the wording was slightly confusing. Making it hard to follow.

This was also divided into parts. Instead of being a full novel. Although it says its 160 pages. It’s actually much less.

So, do I recommend this?
…….
I got it for free…so…you judge.

Until Next Time!
