Where it all began…Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know…
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder― much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing―not even a smear of blood―to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
“Have you fallen in love with the wrong person yet?’
Jace said, “Unfortunately, Lady of the Haven, my one true love remains myself.”
…”At least,” she said, “you don’t have to worry about rejection, Jace Wayland.”
“Not necessarily. I turn myself down occasionally, just to keep it interesting.”
Original Cover Review:
I remember the first time I laid eyes on this cover. Not gonna lie, my young 16 year old heart would not stop beating. Don’t judge a book by its cover..paleease…. who even follows that advice still? If I hadn’t, my world would’ve never been graced by this amazing universe!

Honestly, this has to be one of the most successful re-designing of a book cover. Ever. My love for this limited edition beauty is unparalleled. Am I over reacting? Maybe.
I don’t normally reread books. But how could I not revisit my Jace? I’m soo upset that I seemed to forget a lot of important details that went down. It was so refreshing to look at things with a new perspective. So mannny aspects in this book make sooo much sense now! Not to mention, I missed the young versions of these adorable babies!
Question: Am I the only one who screams at the characters for what they are doing!! Baby, you should trust me more, because I know what’s going to happen. I know!! *cries in frustration
City Of Bones does not fail to impress me a second time. This is truly a great way to start a franchise. I found myself gasping, laughing and reminiscing over things all over again. Cassandra is amazing for managing to keep me hooked even during a reread.
Honestly, just as amazing as the first time!
Until Next Time!
